Castellina’s original 2011 irrigation system was based on designs borrowed from other projects, not built for this community’s own three lakes and 260 homes. Partial upgrades hadn’t fixed it, and a string of service providers couldn’t properly diagnose the faults. The HOA kept cycling through electricians and replacement parts, while lawns either died from under-watering or had sprinklers running for days.
Hoover mapped the existing system and assessed the equipment before proposing anything, finding no case for ripping it all out as an earlier contractor had suggested. Instead, it replaced the two ageing pump stations with a single Hoover pump station and Flowguard to balance irrigation in real time, corrected undersized mainline pipes and added interconnections across the distribution system.
The new Flowguard pump station delivers up to 600 gallons a minute, with far fewer breakdowns to show for it. Over- and under-watering are under control, and the board can see exactly how the system’s performing instead of guessing. Curb appeal and relations between residents, service providers and the HOA have all improved.
