Riverland is a large, multi-phase GL Homes community, and the western section draws its irrigation water from elsewhere on the site. Moving that water across the development relies on permitting inherited from the property's original agricultural water rights, rather than a standalone permit for the section.
Hoover adapted a proven high-volume transfer design, already used successfully on other GL Homes developments, fitting it with 12-inch intake lines to move water through the canal network into the western section's lake.
The station gives the development assurance of water availability as it continues to expand, but it only runs when lake levels allow it. During periods of drought, it can sit idle for months at a time, stepping in again once water becomes available.
Camaretta Companies
A Cameratta Companies master-planned community of around 2,400 homes built by Pulte and Lennar in Estero, Florida. Verdana Village also boasts extensive environmental restoration and conservation enhancements.
D.R. Horton
Archers Mill is a new home residential community located in Ormond Beach, Florida. Hoover's pump station will play its part in the community's offering to home owners of conservation views and lush landscaping.
