Mechanical/Electrical Assembly Associate

About The Role

For this position we're seeking a candidate who takes pride in their workmanship and has the ability to work multiple projects; multi-tasking effectively without compromising the quality of their work.


This candidate will have at least 1-3 years experience working as an electrician, a background in mechanical assembly or irrigation would be an advantage. We're looking for a team player who can build strong relationships with co-workers and demonstrate an optimistic and energetic attitude.

  • Assemble and fabricate pump station mechanical assemblies from shop drawings and other documentation;
  • Drilling, cutting of pipe and sheet metal;
  • Operating band saw, drill press, roll groove machine and heat fusion machine;
  • Build electrical panels from schematics; and
  • Assist with field work when required.
  • Some overnight travel required on rare occasions.
  • Must understand basic math and be able to take accurate measurements.
  • Must be able to pass OSHA 10 hour safety class or have current certification.
  • Must be proficient in reading and writing English.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Clean background check.
  • Driver license required.
  • Fork Truck certification or experience.
  • Able to lift up to 50LBS.
  • Education Requirement – HS Diploma, some college or trades training.
  • Hoover is a Drug Free Workplace - a clean background check is required.
